Our Malaysia junior team finished 12th out of 34 teams taking part in the World U16 Youth Olympiad 2007 held in Singapore from the 4th to 12th August. Singapore sent 4 teams for this event and Malaysia finished behind Singapore 2 (9th place) but ahead of Singapore 1, Singapore 3 and Singapore 4.

Special Pre-Match Training Workshop
The ASEAN Chess Academy with MSSKL is also organising a special pre-match training workshop on 31 March and 1 April and 7 and 8 April to help prepare the KL team for the match. Due to popular demand, young talents who are older or from other states can also attend.

We will witness a record entry for National Age-Group Chess Championship with 416 players taking part in the 10 Categories that to be contested over 2 days at Berjaya Times Squares starting from tomorrow (12th March).
