Doesn’t look look good for Malaysia now as the overall score is 58.5 to 44.5 with Malaysia trailing by 14 points. Still it’s a much better improvement compared to last year. This is good news considering Malaysia did not any program similiar to Singapore’s systematic trainnig. Does this mean that the efforts of our local coaches are bearing fruit. I’d like to think so. Perhaps with the combination of IntChess or ASEAN Chess Academy we will be finally overcome our neighbour in the 2007 Malaysia-Singapore ‘friendly’ match..
