In the last round, FM Anas leading the tournament with 5.5/6 point.
FM Anas must beat stonemaster in the last round to become champion.If FM Anas draw he will get second. So in table one FM Anas play Stonemaster and in Table second Michael Siong from Singapore play Masrin.
Stonemaster play white and used Hypermodern opening 1. Nf3 against FM Anas. In the opening and middle game,stonemaster control the game with his 2 knight pieces control square c4 and outpost at square d6, and also stonemaster rook at d1 and e1 control the file and stonemaster black bishop control the diagonal from b2 square at the queen side.stonemaster also put the queen in the middle game to support his 2 rooks and 2 knights in the centre. With his white bishop already exchange with FM Anas white bishop,attention already at the centre. But when game nearly going to end game,FM Anas able to make use of his advantage at the c file and a few exchange happened.but stonemaster got another idea when he push his e pawan to e4 to gain more control at the centre.a few exchange happened again by FM Anas to neutralise stonemaster POWERFUL play at the centre. In the endgame,FM Anas miss a few moves to gain advantage or also winning piece. after that costly miss (miss because we only have not more that 1 minute left), Stonemaster able to push his “a” pawn for a queen and FM Anas left only his Knight and a few pawn.After a few more moves, it was over and stonemaster dengan penuh bergaya able to defeat FM Anas to become Naib Juara.hehe FM Anas got 5th place but Michael Seong become champion because of his more solkoff points when he beat Masrin in the last round.
