Still without internet

I signed up for my Streamyx broadband connection 3 weeks ago at PC Fair and until today do not have it installed!
I’m really thinking twice about whether I want TMNet Streamyx after hearing horror stories of how poor the connection is. I was gambling that it will be better around my area in Old Klang Road but I seriously doubt it would be.
I called up the vendors and they apologised and said that there were 300 customers who subscribed to the ‘popular’ offer. (Its the RM77/month package with free modem as well as wireless router). They will get around to me “as soon as they can”.
Now with the lousy service I’m getting even before the service is installed, I’m really thinking about cancelling everything.
Perhaps I should just use a mobile alternative and go with DIGI Edge which is RM99 per month - it’s not as fast as Streamyx(when it is working). Download speeds is around 80Kb ++ on average but it is stable and consistent.
I guess it’s so bad that some customers have resorted to bad mouthing streamyx on WikiPedia. Check it out.
