TMNet modem replacement

imageThe TMNet van stopped right outside my house and I was surprised as it was only 24 hours since I called their support. As you know from my previous post, my modem was fried. I take it back that they are slow. Seems like their service has improved tremendously.

However the bad news is the Riger DB102 modem cannot be replaced. According to the technician he checked my account and found that my warranty has expired.

What a bummer!!

From what I’ve read in the Internet, previous customers mentioned that it was a lifetime warranty. I don’t know why mine is only for a year. Anyway it’s been 15 months now I don’t get a new modem. The technician plugged in the new modem that he brought anyway into my phone line. It worked but of course, I can’t keep the modem. He just wanted to check whether the line is ok.

imageA big disappointment!! Anyway, a few hours later a lady from TMNet support called to confirm that they can close the ticket as on their end - it was problem solved. At my end it’s problem just beginning :(

Anybody can recommend a good replacement model for the TMNet ADSL modem?

hey bro… i was surprised too.. i lodged a complaint on sunday evening regarding the constant blinking of the DSL light, and they paid me a visit on Monday morning at 11! Seems that the problem wasn’t with my modem, but on their side. WHich they corrected within 2 hours. Is this a new era for TMNet?

PS: I’ve bought the new DSL605EW ADSL2/2+ Wireless G++ 4-Port Router as a replacement for my fried TMNet modem… It’s very reliable, and it works great. I’d recommend it to you highly. Check it out at the Aztech website.

Ok thanks for the tip. I will check it out.
