Patzer Dell Notebook (640M) Battery dying
Last month, my Dell 640m notebook started showing the above message every time I boot up. It’s already showing signs of dying off. Pretty disappointing as it is only 14 months since I bought the notebook. I thought these notebook batteries should at least last 2-3 years before giving out. Anyway battery life is now just over 1 hour with WiFi on. Of course the Dell system message suggests buying a new battery. The problem is I can’t seem to find batteries for the 640m on Dell’s website. The good news is I found Lelong selling my battery for RM 250 but I am not sure if they are reliable. It’s so far not an issue as most of the time I’m on main power. Anyway I hope they will still last a couple of months more. Hopefully by then, I can upgrade to a new notebook.

14 months is a very short period of time. that sounds like a faulty piece of machinery.
