China Digital Times migrated to WordPress
Take a look at the site (China Digital Times) and you would not guess it was running on WordPress.
It goes to show you can run any website (including chess websites 
) using WordPress. I’ve always believed that it is very extensible and for a news site it fits perfectly.
They have just migrated over from Movable Type to WordPress and have seen big performance improvements.
I would certainly love to get a template similiar to China Digital Times website for use in GilaChess.com.
