Dell Vostro 1200

Dell Vostro 1200. I like this new model because it is an ultraportable with a 12.1 inch TFT Truelife monitor. With it’s battery it weighs only 1.9 kg. It’s pretty cheap too for an 12.1 inch notebook at RM 2,448. The only thing I don’t quite like is probably the Windows Vista® Home Basic and 1 Gb of RAM. I’d probably opt for Windows XP professional with 2Gb RAM.
There’s also some improvement in the Wireless connection where it features
Wireless-N Wifi that is said to have up to 5x faster throughput and up to 2x the range when used with a Wireless-N router.
Dell also have a cheaper config at a budget price of RM 1,999 with a Celeron 540 (1.86GHz) processor but I think that’s a little underpowered for chess players who want to run chess engines at their optimum strengths. The RM 2,499 model is better for this as it comes with a Coreâ„¢2 Duo Processor T5270.
Sidenote:
It’s funny that one of my sponsors questions why there are so many Dell notebook posts here. I have to clarify here that I’m not paid at all for any one of these posts. I simply love Dell notebooks !!
This is not a paid post !
