World Chess Live Goes Live
Just received an email newsletter from World Chess Live announcing that they are going live.
I’ve been playing there a couple of times and I’m still not impressed by them. I personally still like the old World Chess Network 
Maybe it’s just me, but I just hate their Dasher interface. That’s part of the reason I don’t like to play there.
The other reason is that I got banned once for using the computer there. It was a mistake and I did not intentionally wanted to cheat.
Anyway, after things were cleared up, my account was restored. However, not long after that I got banned yet again! Apparently their software detected I had Chessbase in the background. I completely forgotten about that and I didn’t even leave the analysis engine on. Nevertheless, I got banned again!
I kept explaining myself to their admins and they promised to restore my account. For a few weeks I checked and my account was not restored.
After the announcement, I checked again and it looks like my account is finally restored. However, I don’t have the mood or inclination to play there anymore.
It’s still a paid service. WCN members can get their accounts transferred to WCL which was what I did. Expired WCN members even get a one month extension on WCL.
And if you want to join, remember leave your Chessbase turned off!!
