Yes. The long Ramadhan month is over and now after the Raya celebrations it means there will be a whole slew of local tournaments coming your way.
Are you excited? I am. I am listing the tournaments coming up as well as the link to find more details about them.
For junior players, you are in luck as the Kepong Junior Open is coming up soon on the October 28th.
Next tournanament is one that I look forward to because it is suited for chess beginners like me. 
It’s the 2ND Stonemaster Amatuer Chess Championship 2007
It’s only for players with National Rating of 1600 and below are allowed to enter.
On Nov 10 is the Klang Executive Club open which has the Open and Under 12 sections. Full details here.
