Help! Google giving me Phantom Money!
My math is not that good but I’m pretty sure 0.30 + 0.03 + 0.2 = 0.35.
Adsense reports I made USD 1.36 while the total for the websites is only 35 cents. Strange isn’t it ? Is Google making mistakes and giving me free money ?
How I wish! Actually, it’s all my fault because several years ago I created many blogs for fun and placed Adsense all over them. I’m pretty sure I have more than 50 blogs in total !! (Gila or not??)
However, today only less than 10 blogs are active with GilaChess and the Patzer blog being the 2 most active. The bad thing is that I’ve completely forgotten where the other inactive blogs are. I do not know their URL.
Consequently, I did not save these inactive blog URL as channels in my Google Adsense account. Although I don’t maintain them anymore, these inactive blogs are still out there and earning me these phantom money.
The extra money is good but it drives me crazy not knowing where they came from!
So the lesson here is to write down the URL address of all the blogs that you’ve created.
You never know when any of them may earn you money and you many want to go back to them and develop them further.

Yes I’m complaining!. As it is this mystery money only comes in once in a blue moon.
I’d like to trace the source of the money. Go to that blog and ‘reactivate’ it to make even more money!!!
