Google Punishment
It’s happening. Google is punishing websites that are writing sponsored post by reducing their page ranks.
Local sites dropped
5xmom.com had as many as 6 of her websites reduced in page rank. Sabahan.com dropped page rank from 5 to a 4. HongKiat.com dropped from 5 to a 4 also.
Famous sites too
JohnChow.com is another site that got dropped from 6 to a 5 as well as got his page importance dropped from Google’s search results.
This has got many people unhappy particularly those who make money out of paid posts or selling text links.
Google is definitely flexing their muscles here and nobody can do anything since the algorithm for calculating Page Ranks is theirs. Some bloggers have reported reduced income because of penalty Google has imposed.
