Maxis Wireless Broadband Horror Stories
Remember the RM68 per month Maxis wireless broadband? It was really attractive to me and I heard only good things about it when it first came out. I was even tempted to get one a few weeks ago at one of the Maxis promo in a supermarket.
A little research on the blogosphere revealed many grievances on Maxis wireless service.
Some of the common complaints:
- 30 day free trial offer given at PC Fair was not really free. After disatisfied customers returned the unit, they were charged a month’s usage! However, Maxis service centre told them just to ignore the bill.
- Poor connection speeds.
- P2P blocked and only usable between 1am to 5am.
- When it rains the service goes down
- Extra charge besides the RM68 per month.
That shoots down one option for me. So far Celcom still sounds good but you must remember it’s also in the early stages where Maxis Wireless also did not have so many negative comments.
