Old Chesspublisher still more popular
Looks like chess bloggers still prefer the first version of Chess Publisher released over a year ago. Even though I’ve finished and released the second version of Chess Publisher, the number of blogs using it is still quite small.
The main reason is the first version is pretty easy to use. All you need is a complete PGN game and notepad. Cut and paste into the ChessPublisher page and your illustrated chessboard is created.
The ‘new’ version requires you to be registered first. I added this in so that users can go back and edit or delete games from their accounts. Also this new version allows you to add comments into the game.
Anyway, it really doesn’t matter which version is used more often. I’m just happy that there is a big number of users using it now.
As such, I’ve placed both versions into just one website and you can find it at www.ChessPublisher.com. Also this website is faster (and more reliable) compared to the old one so it is recommended you use ChessPublisher.com instead of the old URL. The old URL is actually on maribelajar.com and is experiencing frequent downtimes daily.
