Home Cameras

I’ve had my share of being robbed (twice) and attempted robbery (twice). Needless to say these incidents have made me more aware and sensitive to all things that can prevent theft.

Even when I’m looking at computer and other tech stuff at Low Yat Plaza, I pay particular attention to the wireless camera that are available.

So when an opportunity came up from HomeCamera.com to review and give an impartial opinion their home camera products, it was not difficult to grab the chance.

Homecamera.com is actually a service to make it easy for anyone to have a home monitoring system using video cameras that are now becoming so much more cheaper and accessible nowadays. My aunt installed a video surveilance system for her shop and it came with the usual packaged software. The problem is, even though the system cost over a thousand dollars, the software was still inadequate to allow my aunt to monitor the cameras via the internet. This would make easy for her when she goes home and be able to turn on the PC to view cameras via the Internet. With home camera systems it would make it possible.

The good thing is the system is in beta and is currently completely free. So, there is no cost in trying it out to see how well it works. Of course this would make it easy to setup other types of video surveilance system using cheap video cameras. I would use such as system to monitor the home. Other usage may be for a baby monitor, office security and a deterrant for theft.

Besides being free, the other good thing about homecamera.com is that their system would work for any type of webcams and CCTV that are wired or wireless. This means you can specially custom create your very own home camera setup based on your budget and specific requirement.
