Featured Game: Victoria Chan vs Izz
Someone on the shoutbox made fun of Izz because he lost to a girl. In this day and age, I think there’s no shame losing to a girl particularly if that girl is strong. Perhaps the problem is “us guys” tend to put extra pressure on ourselves not to lose to members of weaker sex but end up losing anyway as a result. I should know from my “5 girls in a row” nightmare two years ago. Here’s the game:
I thought it was funny how White King made a long journey from the King side to the Queen side for fear of an oncoming attack. Izz had the better part of the endgame but loss some of that advantage. The game is not complete as the final position is still more or less equal.

Izz is definitely improving and getting stronger. Obviously, there are still weak areas in his game he has to overcome. I hope he continues his advance and become stronger after the last 2 big international tournaments he has taken part in.
