My opinion on credit cards
I never want to get a credit card for fear of getting into credit card debt. It’s so easy to apply for a credit card nowadays to do that. You can even get online a free credit report to know in advance what sort of credit level you can apply for.You should compare credit cards first to get the best deal.
I guess it’s all a matter of discipline and personal control. I’ve changed my mind about getting a credit card because now that I’m earning most of my money online, my income is from advertisers paying in US dollars. That also means I need to set up ways of receiving money online which requires me to have at least a credit card to open online paying accounts.
Besides that, I like the convenience of buying things online such as Dell accessories. Credit card gives me the advantage of paying monthly with zero interest. That really appeals to me.
On the other hand, if you are the type of person who is part of the “Just Do it” or “Shop till you drop” generation, you’d better NOT apply for a credit card 
Let’s see whether my Maybank credit card I applied for during PC Fair get’s approved.
