Who is Dr Foo Lum Choon?
To a ‘new’ chess enthusiast like me, the name Dr Foo Lum Choon does not ring a bell. But from the orbituary I read from Quah Seng Sun in his blog, I gather that he is someone who played a big role a long time ago in Malaysian Chess. I also read briefly comments made by Malaysian but unfortunately had to delete it as it was not appropriate to turn a tournament report into a comment war/debate. I’ve created an empty stub page on my Wiki so if anyone remembers him or have interesting facts to add, please do so. I believe someone as important as Dr Foo should have at least a small footnote in the cyber world for the younger generation to remember.

I think what was done was very unprofessional. You can stop comments but should have left what was posted alone. Why delete everything? In fact there were no provocative comments and no one was insulted. So why was such a drastic action taken?
If I were to post a “report” and claim someone was the best Malaysian player without any proof, surely other people have a right to comment too.
