There are many strong tournaments held in India every year. Coincidentally, Sumant and Sarika are participating in one Indian event now. Finding a good and affordable hotel is pretty important for any chess player. After all, if the accomodation is not up to par, performing your best at the tournament is going to be difficult. So if you are looking for cheap Indian hotels, this site is the site to go for.
I like the site because although it may be brand new, effort has been made to populate it’s database with over 200 hotels in India. The details are quite comprehensive too covering the location, distance from major transportation medium like train, bus, and airports. Of course it also has details on a particular hotel room price and availability. What’s more is that the site is quite fast as they kept down the graphics to a miinimum and I’m sure they’ve done other optimisation to the webserver as it feels very fast.
The best feature of all should be the first page where a very basic search ala Google is presented. Only 2 information is required. Which city you want to find the hotels in and the dates when you want to be there.
Overall a well designed site but I would recommend that they spend a little time sprucing up the design to make it more attractive. Although very functional, there should be nicer visual features to make it more like a travel/hotel site. If they can improve on this one little factor, they should be one of the top search sites for hotels in India.
