DATMO 4 website up
I just renewed the domain name for DATMO (www.MalaysiaOpen.net) using GoDaddy for another year. It’s bare bones at the moment. Will change the theme and add more sections later. This tournament is the 4th installment of the Malaysian Open and is most likely the second last one we will have. I want to give it maximum online exposure this time.
It’s hosted on a slightly faster webserver. With the malicious DDOS attack on Exabytes server a few days ago, GilaChess.com and Maribelajar.com domains looks quite vulnerable and can be brought offline too easily. Let’s hope there’s no attacks like in the 2005 DATMO brining down the tournament website for a few days. Since I now have 3 different domains to play around with, I can make switch to a different server if one server is under DDOS attack.
Didn’t have time to add more things as I also took time to tidy up my computer table at home. I can finally work from the desktop if I need to but I’m usually using the Patzer notebook on the couch or in bed.
