Thousand Dollar Experiment - received money

paypal.jpg

I transferred my online money (result of the Thousand Ringgit Experiment) into my sister’s PayPal and managed to withdraw the money from an ATM machine (AmBank) using her PayPal ATM/Debit card. I took the money and deposited it into my Public Bank account. It was a good feeling, touching the actual money.

PayPal charges USD1 per ATM transaction. It’s ok as I’ve heard other Malaysian being charged USD 5 per ATM transaction using a different ATM card. I’m happy with the exchange rate too. It’s much better than what I get when I try to cash in my US cheques.
For the above transaction the exchange rate was about 3.4.

Now I have to look for the best bargain for a Canon Powershot 710IS. This will be the official GilaChess Camera. I haven’t been taking any good pictures lately for the past chess tournaments. Looking forward to better quality chess pictures for this blog and GilaChess.com.

Good to know someone has proven that blogging isn’t really a waste of time!

Indirectly it’s a symbiotic relationship between blogger, advertiser and readers. Blogger post news or some useful information. Advertisers pay for space to advertise. Readers get information as well as seeing some related ads.
