Most Expensive Chess Set
I guess Graham Gelineau, winner of the Canadian Lotter of C$37 million (RM 220 million ) can afford this
Thirty craftsmen, under the direction of Maquin spent over 4500 hours creating the expensive chess set. The work was done all by hand and when it was completed, the artists used 1168.75 grams of 14 carat white gold, and approximately 9900 black and white diamonds, bringing the total weight to 186.09 carats and the total cost to $500,000.

My 2 cents:-
For a patzer like me, if I won that kind of money, I’d just go over to Selangor Pewter to get a nice pewter chess set. It’ll cost only a fraction of the price above. Also another good alternative is to get some nice classic wooden sets from ChessSets.com (the post somewhere below this article). The rest of the money I’ll get a nice bungalow to house myself and the chess set
