Touch Screen Monitor

The Navisys solution to convert normal LCDs into touch screen had me on the lookout for other similiar products.

This is the 15 inch TVS touch screen. I found it at Lelong.com.my. Please note that not all items sold at lelong are second hand or used. This item for example is not used but new.

FEATURES:
• Full viewable display crisp image
• On screen display easy to use
• Auto scaling function simply “i-touch”
• Stand base design for different viewing angles
• Ideal for POS / Kiosk users and windows application
• Power consumption 27W/3W DPMS
• State-of-the-art design
• Touch version availability
• Card reader version availability
• Anti-reflection strengthen glass availability
• Cable management for neat installation (Touch version only)

It’s a bit pricey at RM 2,550.00 compared to the Navisis system which costs USD 100. The TVS system can be found here.

Again, playing online chess on such screens should feel more easier, natural and faster. Think about playing bullet on this. If the screen is responsive enough - it should be far better than using a mouse.

Still, the price is too expensive. Perhaps because this monitor is more suitable for functions like a Point Of Sales system at a checkout counter and not used for playing chess :)
