Streamyx woes
Warning. Yet another TMNet Streamyx rant..
It’s now 2.46am and I finally able to access the net. That’s an achievement as I have not been able to access the internet via my home Streamyx for 1 whole week!! I couldn’t even blog and complain about this..
The last 2 days was particularly bad because I couldn’t even hear a dial tone on my phone. Okay that’s the fault of Telekom and not Streamyx. I don’t know whether it was coincidence but I’m sure a lightning surge had something to do with this rare opportunity of getting online. I suspect lightning tripped the fuse box at home. I had to wake up and reset the fuse again. Curiously I had a feeling that my phone was working. I picked it up and there was a dial tone although there was crackling background noises ! Then I turned on the Streamyx modem/router and it connected!
So here I am blogging about it.
I am very sure by tomorrow morning the connection will be gone again. 
Of course, I’ll be calling up 100 number to complain about the line being down or the crackling noises. Then after the line is fixed, I’ll call TMNet support and go thru the familiar and stupid questions such as “Sir, are you sure the cables are connected correctly? Have you tried connecting directly to the phone line instead of using the spiltter?” etc.. This has become routine for me and I suspect for many unlucky TMNet users too.
Also apologies to those who are waiting for the NAG final results. I received the results early a few days back from Tse Pin but didn’t get a chance to post it yet. I blame Streamyx for that. Well not entirely… partly my fault because my Airzed account has expired so I couldn’t connect via ‘Mamak’ shop WiFi.

Me too…….I experienced Streamyx problem 3 times maybe due to local data communication failure.
