MSSKL U-9 Grand Prix
This tournament for Under-9 players will be held on the 25th March 2007.
Following the success of the MSSKL U-9 Chess Development Workshop held from 12-13 February 2007 at PKSC Cochrane which attacted over 120 participants, the Club INTCHESS-MSSKL U-9 Grand Prix will provide these and other young talents a platform to develop their game further.
The 1st leg of this U-9 event will be held together with the Club INTCHESS-National Schools Grand Prix 2nd leg at PKSC Cochrane on 25th March 2007 and will be a basis for selection to represent KL schools at the inaugeral KL-Singapore U-8 Match (150 boards!) on 14th April 2007 at the KL Convention Centre..
The top 3 finishers (separately for boys and girls) will receive medals and those achieving a score of 50% and above will also receive certificates of achievement. Overall winners (4 legs are planned) will receive scholarships to the ASEAN Chess Academy.
