Winds of Change
The appearance of IntChess in the local chess scene has been a catalyst for lots of changes taking place.
I have to say that it appears to be positive changes. One parent I talked to told me that he welcomed IntChess here not so much for the coaching / training opportunities that it will provide but for the effect it will have on various chess groups like organisers and coaches. “The shakeup is will be a wakeup call to them.” I agree. There seems to be a crazy number of chess activities planned for 2007. I just hope that none of these efforts will classh or negate each other.
Other than that, I’m looking forward for an exciting time for 2007.
