I find it strange that GilaChess.com website hits are going up from the usual 1,000 to 2,000 doubling to about 4,000-6,000 a day !.
The average number of visitors per day is still the same - about 150 per day. So the hits suggest that people are refreshing the page(s) more. I’m ok with that since with the increased traffic I’m still using only 10% of my maximum bandwidth.
Just curious what people are looking for as the content is still the same - ie. chess events and news.
Feeling guilty now as I think visitors are expecting more from GilaChess.com. In a dliemma now as I don’t know what you guys want.
Should I have more features? Add in more community features like online chess games similar to the one in Stonemaster.biz? Perhaps start a regular tutorial section on tactics and openings? Start a podcast? Radio GilaChess? Academy GilaChess? Start a community chess blog section on the website?
