Testing Chess Publisher 2

The new version uses Javascript and allows comments to be added into the movelist.

Here’s a test showing Kramnik vs Fritz (game 3) with comments taken from Susan Polgar blog. Click Replay Game link to view the game.

Please be patient as it’ll take a few days to make it easy for bloggers to cut-and-paste pgn to generate the chess board.

In the meantime, I’d appreciate any feedback on the above chess board.

hi gilachess,

is the website below using chess publisher as well?

cheers

What sharp eyes you have Matthew!!! The underlying javascript used by that website is the same as the one I’ll be using for Chess Publisher 2. However they generated the code by hand themselves. It also usually requires some technical knowledge and your own webserver to do that. That’s why you don’t see many chess bloggers using this type of chess board to show their games on websites.

I’m want to remove the technical bit so that it’s simplified to cutting and pasting a short code.

Once I’ve finished I’ll give it out FREE to the chess blogging community.

[...] no worries about Chess Publisher as it will continue to be hosted and supported here. In fact, version 2 of the Chess Publisher is already working but I haven’t found the time to make a proper page [...]

Congratulations! You are doing a fine work.
When do you think Chess Publisher 2 allowing comments will be avaiable?
