Fast Food Chicken Tak Nak!
After posting the Ayam Tandoori vs KFC blogpost, I received email about other stories on the abuse of poultry used in preparati1n in fast food outlets. What I thought was funny suddenly isn’t.
One story mentions that the concentration of ammonia from chicken waste is so strong that the chicken beaks actually melt ! I did my own web search and found that there are some websites with similiar stories of abuse. One notable one is KFC Cruelty.
Apparently there has been mini protest staged in various countries around the world. Here’s a picture of a anti-KFC protest in Malaysia 2004.

I admit you can’t really trust “facts” reported on the Internet. Perhaps the stories may have been exaggerated or even not true but I for one have lost my taste for fast food chicken and will give up KFC for the time being.

What I know about broiler chicken is they switch on the lights 24/7, fooling the chicken it is day time and they kept on eating eating eating without resting. To fatten them up. Plus loads of antibiotics are included in their feeds. And no place to run! Abuden, the free range chicken are so expensive, like RM20+ per chicken wor.
