Online updates
Have to apologise again for lack of coverage for the Malaysian Open and AmBank Chess Challenge.
Both me and Ching Kim Lye (GilaChess webmaster #2) were involved in producing bulletins for the event. However we did not anticipate that it would take out all of our time and consequently we could not update the websites as often as we wanted to.
As The Closet Grandmaster pointed out, last year’s coverage was much better. The reason for that was even though I took part in the Chervrolet Open, I had lots of time as I brought my own PC to the tournament hall and could report from the event easily in between the rounds.
My fault for thinking I could do the bulletins as well as update the websites. Next year I’ll try to delegate the work to some assistants.
Losing my camera didn’t help the situation. I hardly took any pictures except for those taken with my camera phone.
Here’s one of them. It’s the winner GM Dao vs IM Dimakiling in Round 4.
