Excited!

Only 2 days away from Astro Merdeka Team tournament!!

I’m very excited. All the top players from all over the country will come to KL tomorrow ( a day before) and battle it out in Mid Valley Mega Mall on Saturday and Sunday. My ‘preprations’ for the tournament include getting extra batteries for my camera - going to take lots of pictures of everybody if possible. No actual chess preparation this time. It’s 100% for fun this time. I’ll be in team GilaChess Patzer (1. Vicky 2. Ching Kim Lye 3. Balen 4. GilaChess 5. Ong Meng Koon).

After the 2 days of gruelling paced 9-round-rapid games, it will be the Dato Arthur Tan Malaysian Open and AmBank MCC which will run side by side. All this in CitiTel hotel, just beside Mid Valley. I’ll be covering both events using DATMO website, GilaChess.com and this blog.

With so many chess enthusiast entering in either one of these tournaments, I predict that the person reading this blog (yeah you!) will be there too.
