I went to PC Fair today and guess who I met there?
It was my GilaChess Patzer team mate Balendran. As some of you know, Balendran is an experienced local chess coach. Anyway it turns out that we were there for the same reason - to look at notebooks.
Only difference is that Balendran can actually afford one and I can’t. So sad 
Anyway prices of budget notebooks have definitely fallen. Many branded Celeron M notebooks can be bought for RM2000. What cought my eye was the higher end Dell notebook with Core Duo processor selling for only RM 2899. Mouth watering!!
We also viewed some MacBooks which were georgous but cost RM 5200.Not only do they look cool, these notebook can run both Windows and Mac software.But for chess players like us, there really isn’t any good chess programs.
