14 day training plan
The Taylor Tourney #2 is just 15 days away. I’ll start my training tomorrow so it will be exactly 2 weeks till D-day. Here is my 14 days training plan:
1. Opening Repertoire for Black
Carry on my study on 2 defences against 1.d4 and 1.e4 each.
2. Opening Repertoire for White
Continue my study on Sicilian Grand Prix/Dragon. Look at database games and study the books on these 2 variations. Again, use Pocket Middlegame to get some ideas of the chosen openings (also applies for no. 1 above)
3. Clock Handling
My WCN account has expired but I play on Friday unlimited (I have at least 2 before the tournament)
Also, try to find other free site similiar to WCN.
4. Learn from past mistakes
Dig in to old games of mine and as well as other players with similiar openings and annotate them.
Publish them on this blog.
5. Tactics, Tactics, Tactics
Do as many exercises as possible via PDA on tactics. Pocket CT-Art is the way to go..
6. Endgame
Have not decided on exactly how to improve on this area yet but something has to be done.
7. Diet and Exercise
Monitor my weight, the results of exercise and the food I eat.
8. Have lots of fun

9. A log on progress
This is something new I added in. I’ll prepare a log on what I’ve done and a summary of the results if any.
