Prize increase in MCC

The Malaysian Chess Challenge, now known as AmBank Group Malaysian Chess Challenge has received a monetary prize increase.

The total fund now is a whopping RM 10,000 (about USD 2700).

Here is the new prize structure:

    This is certainly fantastic news. I remember I finished 14th last year and did not get a prize. With this prize structure I would have won RM150. Too bad I have to sit out this year’s MCC. A painful decision but had to be so because I want to put my efforts into making the official website for DATMO and MCC better.

    Last year was terrible because of hacker attacks. The site was down half the time and I had people complaining via email from overseas.
