GilaChess will be represented by a team. Team members to be announced later but if you had followed the news 2 years ago, you’ll see that it is stronger than the last time. Sweet memories for me as the GilaChess team beat strong teams such as Epoly Chess (team members: Fairin, Kamaluddin Yusof..) and also Astro Bishop (with team members FM Mok Tze Meng, FM Lim Yee Weng, IM Jimmy Liew ..).

that’s about GBP1500 for the first prize! that is a respectable sum even for chess tournaments/congresses in the UK. It would be a shame for anyone to miss this opportunity.
hopefully wang hao will be back to defend his title. and hopefully more gm/im/fms will be present. this should be a good chance for malaysian chessplayers to rake in fide points & garner title norms (will mok tze meng be there for another shot?)
