Nur Nabila scores Malaysia’s first Bronze

Nur Nabila HishamNur Nabila Azman Hisham (firecracker) obtains Malaysia’s only medal in the recently concluded 7th ASEAN Age Group.

She took the bronze in Girls Under-10 Rapid Chess event.

Vietnam dominated the event in almost every age group. As an example, in the top 5 U10 girls, the only non-Vietnamese was Nur Nabila.

She played the English… any idea who her coach is? Any recommendable result in an international tournament should be given attention. We never know how strong they may become. By the way, Black mishandled the endgame. She should have tried to prevent the White Rook’s activation at all costs since White held the D.P.P (don’t bother about the a-pawns).

Yeah mistake by Black in the endgame but take note this girls are just U-10 :)

I think playing a closed opening in a rapid or blitz game is a good idea if a player knows what he or she is doing.
