I regret waking up so late and finding out late that Malaysia actually beaten Canada!
Unbelievable!! Jimmy predicted a 4-0 wipeout for Malaysia vs Canada and I predicted we may steal half a point but we were both wrong. The men’s team did the impossible in bringing down the mighty Canadians 3.5-0.5.
STRONG>IM Mas Hafizulhelmi seems to have shaken his bad start by beating a very strong GM Carbonneau Pascal. FM Mok Tze Meng held GM Mark Bluvshtein to a draw. Lim Yee Weng beat IM Zugic Igor. Jonathan Chuan beat IM Livshits Ron. This is a fantastic results for Malaysia as they beat a country that has a player's combined of more than ELO 552 points above Malaysia !!
Malaysia Women beat Guatemala 2-1. WFM Siti and Wan Khye Theng delivered the wins whereas Nur Shazwani lost the last board.
