37th Olympiad is underway
The biennial Chess Olympiad is underway. It’s the 37th edition held at Turin, Italy.
I missed this weekends big news which is IM Jimmy Liew’s new chess website, IM Talk. His first content will be the Olympiad news. Check it out. I’ve also placed a permanent link to it on the right hand side of this blog. I’m happy to see more local chess players coming out with a chess website especially a chess icon like our first IM.
Thanks to Petronas who agreed to sponsored half the cost trip (RM30K).From the previous proposal we tried to get full. I have lunch meeting with the Official Olympiad team and En Megat itself (Petronas Officer). Both team Men & women r strong & the selection base on their best result from this year.
