I saw this book 2 weeks ago in Popular book store and I’m sure it’s available in all major bookstore too. Haven’t bought it yet but I’ve browsed thru it a few times during lunch time.
It starts off with Dato describing his humble beginnings in 1926 during the British colonisation of Malaya. It then talks about the life and death journey during Japanese Occupation of Malaya. Lots of stories of Dato and his friendship with top ministers. There is also a lot of chess stories at the last chapter of the book. RM39 for the softcover.
Truly a great man whose actions have made chess very popular in Malaysia. Look at the crazy weekend tournaments we are having almost every week!
