In the 3rd round i sat on board 12 after finally getting a point off SAHIR who was clearly having a flu.I was black and sahir opened with 1.E4. I know i’ve prepared to use the french but my hands in reflex responded with 1 … d5.Curse you evil hand! Anyway, luckily for me my opponent played 2 e5. So 2..c5 is a favourable advanced french defence. I was going on to win a pawn after which my opponent gave me a free Queen!! My win was short-lived when my third round opponent was Kamaluddin Yusof! How unlucky! Apparently somebody beat Kamaluddin in the 2nd round so in the third he took it out on me. I lost horrible of course.. Leaders going into the 3rd round: Siti, Johan, Rabani and I can’t remember the rest.. :)

Just look at that smile from Kamaluddin (just before I got trashed)

Hi,Andrew!!! May I know this Tournament? When??? How you lose to Kamaludin??? Please let me know!!!

It’s the CAS 2nd quarter allegro. Well the game wasn’t that exciting. I was White and Kamaluddin was Black. We played the same variation of the Sicilian for the 3rd time !! and Kamaluddin played really agressively in the middlegame. I played aimlessly without any concrete plan. To tell you the truth, psychologically I’ve already lost before my first move.

Seeing Kamaluddin across the board as my opponent (when I was really expecting someone weaker) shot a big hole in my hopes to win my 3rd round.

May I know the move?

You are great, Andrew!!! I think You are not only know how to play chess, but also know how to take a photo. I can noticed that Kamaludin shirt beside there is a turquise, light blue and dark blue colours . Good technique!!!

The shirt behind Kamaludin is the most interesting blue among them.

Huh?? I can’t see those colours from that blurry picture :)
