Petak64.com
With the 2 of the major local chess website going down last year(CAS and Zugzwang), my site, GilaChess.com has been the lone chess site where people get their news. It was not surprising to see a big jump in daily traffic where GilaChess.com got 1000 hits daily.
Finally there is another new local Malaysian chess site.
It’s called Petak64. URL is easy to remember too: Petak64.com
The creator is Mohd Fairin Zakaria, a very strong FIDE rated chess player. The site is still new but it shows promise. Particularly the ChessBase coaching mentioned in the front page.
Also nice to see a big link to GilaChess from Petak64. I don’t see them as competition or rivals. The more chess websites we have the better!!
