Abel Yap beat Tan Ken Wei to have a perfect 4 points. Wonderkid Yeap Eng Cheam beat Mustafa Kamal Zamhuri in 17 moves. Yeap now has 3 points. Other top boards are still ongoing. Jonathan Chuah vs Tan Khai Boon is tense with Jonathan up by a pawn. Siti is up by 2 pawns vs Wan Khye Theng but the game has a drawish look because of Bishop of opposite colours. Fadli beat Woo Beng Keong to move up to 3 points. Masrin drew with Saprin at board 2 and both players have 3 points. One correction I forgot to mention is that Jimmy Liew was listed in the initial player’s list but was withdrawn for unknown reasons at the last minute.
