Greased lightning fast indeed, some more can use the other hand to pause the clock while promoting the pawn to a queen. GilaChess also GilaKosteniuk, really envy you receiving a parcel of Kosteniuk goodies recently.

Guess putting the other hand to hold still the clock is ok as long as it’s not used to press the button.

As for the goodies I received, it was just a clever marketing move. GilaChess.com was wrongly listed as the official website for Malaysian Chess. Actually TCN/MCF website should be official website for Malaysia. (but I’m also webmaster for that site)

I guess she sends one gift package to each country chess webmaster.

I did not mean holding the clock still, that is fine. She actually used her left hand to press the button and pause the clock as she promoted the pawn to a queen with her right hand. Maybe we are allowed to do that.

I didn’t realise that. But it doesn’t look right. I don’t think that’s allowed at all.

Guys, in the video, Alexandra says that “if you’re promoting (a pawn)in blitz, you can stop the clock”, which is why she used her left hand. Perhaps that’s one of the quirks of blitz chess.
