Training failure

I didn’t follow thru with my one week training plan and as I crashed and burn in last Sunday’s Rapid KL tournament. Won 4 games but lost 3 games. One game I was up 2 pawns with a better position and still manage to lose.
I did some CT-Art exercises but only on the last 2 days before the games. I used my PDA mostly for listening to podcast which I’ve become addicted to. Also I was distracted by some new job interviews. That’s another story (and excuse :))..

Anyway, all is not lost. I will strive to improve for the coming Selangor Closed tournament and also the team championship in UM this weekend.

Good luck to you, Andrew. 12+ rapid games for 2 days (in different tournaments) back to back is too mental tiring for me. I think with your concrete training and good dose of lecithin will give you the stamina for the two days events.

Yeah it’s 6 games a day. Some people have told me to stop recording as it’s a waste of precious time. I know it’s good advice but I really want a record of the mistakes that I’ve made and to kick myself over and over again for each one at a later time. There’s nothing concrete about my training except for the plan which I have yet to find the discipline to implement.

hidup gilachess, hehehe
